An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Carnival Boat, the 1932 Albert S. Rogell romantic adventure melodrama ("Lusty melodrama of the tall timberlands") starring William Boyd (billed as "Bill Boyd"), Fred Kohler, Hobart Bosworth, Ginger Rogers, and Marie Prevost. Note that Ginger Rogers was the romantic co-star in the movie, and the movie centered around her love affair with Boyd, and how his father did not want him involved with her, because she was an entertainer on a carnival boat, but Boyd was such a big star at this time that the poster designer devoted the entire one-sheet to a huge striking image of him, and could not find any room for an image of sexy young Ginger Rogers! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the playdates section at the bottom of the glass. Otherwise, the cardboard holder has staining around the staples, but the glass slide itself is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
