Leonard New York City Waldorf Astoria luxury hotel World War II (WWII) military romantic comedy ("It's Always Exciting and Romantic!"; "Suggested by a play by Vicki Baum") starring Ginger Rogers, Lana Turner, Walter Pidgeon, Van Johnson, Edward Arnold, Phyllis Thaxter, Keenan Wynn, Robert Benchley, Leon Ames, Lina Romay, Samuel S. Hinds, and Xavier Cugat & His Orchestra NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked and during the backing process, its defects were repaired and it now looks nice. From any reasonable viewing distance, you can't see what restoration was done. It may have had only very minor defects, or it may have had more significant defects that were well restored. It is possible that you can see SOME slight traces of the restoration from a distance, but if so, we try clearly note it below. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had a few faint water stains across the bottom foldline, and around the edges of the poster (some in the blank borders, and some in the yellow background area). Otherwise, the poster was in nice condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but the restorer did not address the faint water stains (which truly are not very noticeable or distracting). Learn More about condition grades
