See the 'wandering sickness' destroy half the people on the earth!"; produced by Alexander Korda; based on the novel The Shape of Things to Come by H.G. Wells, set 100 years into the future, in 2036; about a second world war [not WWII!] which causes great turmoil in the world, and then scientists begin to rebuild civilization into a scientifically designed utopia) starring Raymond Massey, Ralph Richardson, Sir Cedric Hardwicke, Pearl Argyle, Patricia Hilliard, Margaretta Scott, Edward Chapman, "and a cast of 20,000" NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that nowadays, most inserts are removed from their backing and then paperbacked onto a new board backing. In the case of this insert, the restorer removed it from its backing but then mounted it onto rice paper and then a linen backing, leaving a 1" border all around. It really doesn't make much of a difference except that the poster has that added border, which protects it from being accidentally "bumped"! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster was never folded. It had some tiny pinholes around the edges and two in the middle left yellow background area and one in the middle right yellow background area. It had a 2" tear near the middle of the left border, a 1 1/2" tear near the middle of the bottom border, and a 1 1/2" tear in the lower right border, extending into the man's leg. Otherwise, the poster was in nice condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
