An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) The Big Store, the 1941 Charles Reisner screwball comedy ("Gorgeous Girls! Uproarious Fun!"; "The Big Musical Show!"; "'Let there be wine, women and song. On second thought... Never mind the wine and the song!'"; about a singer who inherits a department store, and she hires a detective to protect her from its crooked manager) starring The Marx Brothers (Groucho Marx [as Wolf J. Flywheel], Chico Marx [as Ravelli], and Harpo Marx [as Wacky]), Tony Martin, Virginia Grey, Margaret Dumont, Douglass Dumbrille, Marion Martin, Henry Armetta, and Ann Demitrio. Note that the Marx Brothers are billed as the "Marx Bros." on the advertising. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the movie is called "The Bargain Basement" on the back of this still, which was the working title for this movie! Note that this still measures 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm]. Also note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. Note that this still has a stamp on the back in the form of a diamond that has "TRR" running down the center. One certainly might wonder who placed this stamp there and why. The answer is that the still (and many others we are auctioning in this set of auctions) come to us from a still collector who has collected for many decades, and long ago he began stamping the back of his stills with this stamp, and "TRR" is his initials! Each of the stills is stamped lightly, and the stamp does NOT affect the front of the still. He is a VERY advanced collector, and he has consigned many wonderful stills to us! Condition: good to very good. The still is lightly rippled across the top and bottom edges, but it is more "felt" than seen", and there is a small brown stain in the top center of the image background.
