Burnett"; about a professional gambler who makes big scores at the race track, and he has a beautiful girlfriend, but they split up, and he finds a "regular" woman who insists he quit gambling and take a regular job; he does so for a few years, but can't resist the lure of gambling and he returns to it, and to his old girlfriend, and his wife finds love with a stable man) starring Barton MacLane, Ann Sheridan, Dick Purcell, Walter Cassel, and Peggy Bates NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: This was printed by Associated Displays Corporation which was a company based in New York City. Before it was discovered by noted poster dealer/historian Walter Reuben, collectors did not know the name of this company (and thought it to be located in the Midwest), and it is often referred to as the "other company" (and we will continue to refer to it that way, since collectors know it that way). From 1936 to roughly 1941, this company printed its own one-sheets and lobby card sets (and a very few inserts, half-sheets, three-sheets, 40x60s and stills) for three major studio movies (Warner Brothers, Paramount and United Artists, but no other studios). The items almost always feature a tiny legal disclaimer and cast credits only. The posters and lobby cards are from the original release of the movie, and almost always have completely different artwork from the regular studio release. They did this by combining elements from different film scenes onto one poster or card. Sometimes, "other company" posters have images that are the equal of those from the regular studio release posters. Note that this lobby card has been trimmed and it now measures 11" x 13 3/4" [28 x 35 cm]. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: fair. A small part of the right blank border was trimmed off. Someone put tape on the front and back of all the borders, where there were some areas of paper loss. There was also paper loss in the top border to the right of the title, and there are tape repairs on the front and back of that area, with stains and ripples around the edges of the card. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
