An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Tom Kennedy was an actor from the 1910s to the 1960s. Tom was a former amateur boxing champion, who turned to acting in the middle 1910s, primarily playing large oafish characters. He was NOT the older brother of comic actor Edgar Kennedy, as is often mistakenly noted, and we are guilty of having passed on that falsehood innocently! He often acted with Edgar (which is likely why they were mistakenly identified as brothers), and he appeared in a series of 11 Columbia two-reel comedies alongside Monty Collins in the middle 1930s, and he had a major role in the "Torchy Blaine" detective movies. He stayed active in movies all the way until he passed away in 1965 at the age of 80. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Tom Kennedy! Note that this signed item was consigned to us from the personal collection of Johnny Crawford, who first came to fame as the son in the TV series "The Rifleman" and later became a band leader loved movies, and early on he collected many movie stills and more! He did not have a certificate of authenticity for this still, but because it was personalized to him, we are 100% certain that the autograph is authentic. Condition: very good.
