An Original Vintage Linenbacked French One-Panel "Grande" Poster (1p; measures 46 1/2" x 62" [118 x 157 cm]) (Learn More) Toute La BD Salue Herge, the circa 1960s French poster advertising for comic magazine homage featuring the work of Georges Remi (who wrote his comic strip "The Adventures of Tintin" under the pen name of "Herge"). The magazine advertised on the poster was released on April 19th. This poster features a scene of the Tintin comic strip. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. The poster had some creases, scuffs, and tears in the top horizontal foldline, and a lesser amount of wear in the other folds. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster).
