An Original Vintage Unfolded Japanese "B2" Kuzui Sisson Movie Poster (measures 20 1/4" x 28 5/8" [51 x 73 cm]) (Learn More) The Karate Kid (released in some countries as "The Moment of Truth"), the classic 1984 John G. Avildsen teen kung fu martial arts teaching melodrama ("He taught him the secret to Karate lies in the mind and heart. Not in the hands."; "Written by Robert Mark Kamen") starring Ralph Macchio (in the title role as Daniel LaRusso), Pat Morita (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; billed as "Noriyuki 'Pat' Morita" as Mr. Miyagi), Elisabeth Shue, Martin Kove, Randee Heller, and William Zabka (as Johnny). Note that this movie spawned three sequels, with Ralph Macchio returning in the first two sequels, "The Karate Kid Part II" in 1986 and "The Karate Kid Part III" in 1989. Macchio then left the series, and Hilary Swank became Pat Morita's new student in "The Next Karate Kid" in 1994. In 2018, YouTube produced a "Cobra Kai" TV series, cleverly bringing back Ralph Macchio 35 years later, with his old nemesis, William Zabka, returning as well. If you haven't seen Cobra Kai, and you are a fan of the original movie, you are almost certain to like it! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: : Note that this poster has a sticker at lower right that indicates that it was printed by Kuzui Sisson (a toy company) and it may have been sold or given away at theatrical screenings (especially given that there is a snipe at lower right which is similar to posters produced by Yamakatsu or Movic). It is much more rare than the "regular" poster. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. There is a very light horizontal crease across the poster at upper and lower center from it being stored with posters that were tri-folded. It has some edge wear and a tiny snipe at lower right (it is not a defect - see above). It is otherwise in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
