An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) The Cowboy and the Kid, the 1936 Ray Taylor cowboy western starring Buck Jones, Billy Burrud (11 years old and in the title role as Jimmy Thomas, "The Kid"), Harry Worth, Charles Lemoyne, Dick Rush, Dorothy Revier, and Oliver Eckhardt. Note that it was not at all odd in the 1930s for tough cowboys to have young male "pals" that they "palled" around with (Tom Tyler had Frankie Darro, etc). This is the only movie that Buck Jones made with Billy Burrud, so either they didn't have chemistry together, or Burrud wanted more substantial roles! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. There are areas of separation along parts of some of the foldlines that have been repaired with tape from the back. Given its age it is otherwise in pretty nice condition.
