An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Illustrated Man, the 1969 Jack Smight tattoo body art science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("Don't dare stare at The Illustrated Man."; "From Ray Bradbury's masterpiece of the supernatural!"; based on the book by Ray Bradbury; about a psychotic drifter who is searching for the woman who tattooed his entire body!) starring Rod Steiger (in the title role as Carl, the Illustrated Man), Claire Bloom, Robert Drivas, Don Dubbins, and Jason Evers NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had fine surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this period). It had water stains in the bottom left and bottom right that slightly discolored those areas, and it had a few faint smudges and stains around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that the restorer left a tiny bit of excess linen around all four sides of the poster (they left a small border in order to protect the poster from handling damage, but they did not leave a larger border, to allow it to more easily fit in a frame).
