Andy Capp is an English daily comic strip from August 5th, 1957 to the present. Created by Reg Smythe, it is about working-class figure who never actually works. Originally a single-panel cartoon, it was later expanded to four panels. The character is also licensed as the mascot for a line of snack foods (Andy Capp's fries).
