An Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (measures 14" x 17") (Learn More) Diary of a Chambermaid, the 1946 Jean Renoir France rich-man-poor-girl romantic melodrama ("'I tried to be good - always!'"; "The very true confessions.... of an untrue girl!"; "Adapted from the novel by Octave Mirbeau And the play by Andre Heuse, Andre De Lorde and Thielly Nores"; "Screenplay by Burgess Meredith"; about a poor girl in France who gets a job as a maid to a rich old man so she can induce him to marry her) starring Paulette Goddard, Burgess Meredith, Hurd Hatfield, Francis Lederer, Judith Anderson, Florence Bates, Irene Ryan (two decades before she would gain major fame as Granny on TV's "The Beverly Hillbillies"!), and Reginald Owen.
