The Hope Diamond Mystery, the 1921 Stuart Paton silent action adventure serial ("A Stupendous 15 Episode Serial"; "The most sinister jewel in history"; loosely based on the real life events of the original owner of the legendary Hope Diamond; ownership of the diamond cursed everyone associated with it!) starring Grace Darmond, Harry Carter, George Chesebro, Boris Karloff (in his eighth movie role!), and Carmen Phillips

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had two vertical tears in the top center, with some paper loss between them in the top background area, and some small paper loss below them in the top of the woman's hair. There was a 10" tear in the lower left border that extended into the middle of the "MY". There were some tears and small paper loss around the rest of the edges of the poster, mostly in the blank borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
