An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Red Danube, the 1949 George Sidney post-World War II (WWII) Austria refugee romantic melodrama ("Every life that touched hers was never the same again!"; "The BIG Picture"; "Beautiful Maria was in terrible trouble - Every life that touched hers was never the same again!"; "Based on a Novel by Bruce Marshall"; about English officers stationed in the British zone of Vienna at the end of World War II, and they turn over a Russian refugee, who is a beautiful young ballerina, to the Russian authorities, but then they realize they made a mistake, and they try to get her back) starring Walter Pidgeon, Ethel Barrymore, Peter Lawford, Angela Lansbury, Janet Leigh, Louis Calhern, and Francis L. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor wear on the foldlines. There was a long scratch running through the top of the word "BARRYMORE" and through the blue background and ending in Pidgeon's hand. There were pinholes, creases, tears, and some paper loss around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
