An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Three Strangers, the 1946 Jean Negulesco crime murder mystery romantic melodrama ("Original Screen Play by John Huston & Howard Koch"; a very odd story of three very different strangers, two men and a woman who buy a lottery ticket and agree to share the winnings if there are any, and when the ticket proves to be a winner, it only brings misery to all three of them, and death to one!) starring Sydney Greenstreet, Geraldine Fitzgerald, Peter Lorre, Joan Lorring, Robert Shayne, and Alan Napier NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds, with a tape stain at the bottom crossfold. It had some tiny bits of surface paper loss on parts of the folds and some pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
