Collins & Ray Taylor Canadian Royal Mounted Police Mountie cowboy western serial ("13 Chapters of Mountainous Thrills!"; "River on Fire") starring Bill Kennedy, Daun Kennedy, George Dolenz, Milburn Stone Milburn Stone, Robert Armstrong, Tom Fadden, Paul E. Burns, and Addison Richards and The Master Key, the 1945 Lewis D. Collins & Ray Taylor government spy espionage crime action serial ("13 Chapters of Terrific Thrills!") starring Milburn Stone, Jan Wiley, Dennis Moore, Maris Wrixon, Alfred La Rue, Addison Richards, and Russell Hicks. Note that theaters in the 1940s and 1950s would often show double and triple-bills of B movies and serials (especially in Saturday matinees), but these were almost always "home made", where the theater selected the movies they would show, and any posters for the special show would be something they would created themselves, but this really cool poster is for a Realart triple-bill release of three of the serial movies they had the rights to, and it is full-color, too! Note the small box in the lower left that says "Chapter" with a blank space under it. We suspect the idea was for theaters to show the first chapter from each of the three serials one Saturday, and show the second chapters the next Saturday, etc. But we have NEVER auctioned any other movie paper fro this triple-bill, so we suspect it was an idea that didn't catch on (which is a real shame, because there might have been other wonderful posters had it been successful). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. There are some tiny tears and bits of paper loss in the upper quarter of the vertical foldline and the left half of the upper vertical fold. Otherwise it is in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
