An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Mexican Movie Poster (measures 26 1/4" x 36 1/2" [67 x 93 cm]) (Learn More) La Liga de las Canciones (literally translates to "The League of Songs"), the 1941 Chano Urueta Mexican musical romantic comedy (about multi-national solidarity through music involving hotel residents who stage radio broadcasts and a cabaret show) starring Ramon Armengod, Mapy Cortes, Domingo Soler, Fernando Cortes, Jorge Reyes, Clifford Carr, Fanny Schiller, Maria Elena Galindo, Paco Miller, Don Roque, and Marina Herrera (billed as "Marylu la estrellita de la cancion"). It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Viejo Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this film is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we were consigned this poster (which is a "country of origin" poster for this Mexican movie!). Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 26 1/4" x 36 1/2" [67 x 93 cm]. Finally, note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: poor to fair. The poster has much tape on the back (covering tears and paper loss in the borders and folds) and much of the tape has bled through to the front. There are also some stains scattered in the poster. Obviously one would much prefer to find a better condition example of this poster, but we don't know that one exists. The poster can be restored, but bear its very significant defects and the cost of restoration in mind before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
