The most blood-freezing horror ever created... a horrifying Thing of the future."; "The one... the only King of the Monsters") starring Boris Karloff (in the title role as Baron Victor von Frankenstein), Tom Duggan, Jana Lund, Don 'Red' Barry (billed as "Donald Barry"), Charlotte Austin, and Mike Lane (as the monster; Lane is best remembered for his starring role as Toro, the giant boxer in "The Harder They Fall", and he played a number of strong men or monster roles in the years after that movie!) Note that this pressbook is part of an amazing collection of 456 different horror/sci-fi pressbooks (our items #5387 through #5842)! The collector who assembled this collection did so over a span of several decades, and to duplicate it would surely take at least that long, if one started today. But on October 30th, every one of these pressbooks will go to a new owner, as all are being sold with NO reserve. Note that this collection spans the years from 1950 to 1972, and just about every single 1950s and 1960s horror/sci-fi movie is represented here. Also note that we have listed them in DATE order (first by year, and then alphabetically within years). This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire rare pressbooks that almost never are offered for sale! Condition: good. Note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Since pressbooks were INTENDED to be cut up (the theater owners would cut out the newspaper ads to run in their local papers). It is very difficult to find a pressbook that has NOT been cut, and that ads greatly to their value! small area of trimming in the lower left edge as well as several 1" and smaller tears around the edges of the pressbook (mostly in the bottom edge); folded in half at one time; minor creases, smudges, and scuffs throughout the pressbook (more so along the spine); herald has darkened somewhat around the edges but is in otherwise nice condition Learn More about condition grades
