An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The Loves of Edgar Allan Poe, the 1942 Harry Lachman romantic author biography melodrama ("Men scoffed at his greatness... Women knew it with his first kiss!"; very loosely based on the life of the famous author) starring Linda Darnell, Shepperd Strudwick (billed as "John Shepperd"; in the title role as the famous poet, Edgar Allan Poe), Virginia Gilmore, Jane Darwell, Mary Howard, Frank Conroy, Hardie Albright, and Harry Morgan NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the playdates section at the bottom of the glass. Otherwise, the cardboard holder has staining around the staples, but the glass slide itself is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
