An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The Last Gangster, the 1937 Edward Ludwig organized crime family relationship mobster thriller ("Greatest thrill drama since 'Little Caesar!'"; "--and the beauty he left behind him!"; about a gangster in prison who has a small child, and while he is in jail, his wife leaves him and marries a reporter, and when the gangster finally gets out of prison, he tries to find his son, but he angers his former gang, and they kidnap his son) starring Edward G. Robinson, James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart), Rose Stradner, Lionel Stander, Douglas Scott, John Carradine, Don 'Red' Barry, and William 'Billy' Benedict. Note this was Austrian actress Rose Stradner's first movie. She seemed to have a promising career, but in 1939, she married Joseph L. Mankiewicz and quickly had two sons, and that greatly curtailed her career, which is why you may well have never heard of her! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
