An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Foreign Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More) Young Frankenstein (released outside the U.S. as "Frankenstein Junior"), the classic 1974 Mel Brooks monster horror screwball comedy parody ("A Mel Brooks Film"; "Based on characters in the novel 'Frankenstein' by Mary W. Shelley"; "screen story and screenplay by Gene Wilder and Mel Brooks"; a wacky parody of the classic "Bride of Frankenstein") starring Gene Wilder (in the title role as Dr. Frederick Frankenstein), Peter Boyle (as The Monster), Marty Feldman (as Igor), Cloris Leachman, Teri Garr, Kenneth Mars, Madeline Kahn, and Gene Hackman (as the "Blindman"). Note that Gene Hackman and Peter Boyle do a hysterically funny parody of the scene from 1935's The Bride of Frankenstein where the monster encounters a blind hermit! Important Added Info: Note that this poster was stamped "FOR" which means it was printed for use outside the United States (there would also have been posters stamped "DOM" for use within the United States). Often, the "FOR" posters would have a different (sometimes racier) image than that for the one used in the United States. This three-sheet was printed in 1 section. Condition: good. There are many creases and tears and water stains on some of the foldlines (but not all) and there are some creases and smudges and stains in some parts of the image area. There are tears and areas of paper loss on several of the crossfolds. Obviously, this poster would greatly benefit from expert restoration, but it is also true that after it is linenbacked, it will look fantastic, and there really won't need to be very much paint restoration in the image!
