He is perhaps best remembered as being the "King of the Delta Blues" and for the legend that he "sold his soul" to the Devil as a crossroads to achieve success. Some of his hits include: Sweet Home Chicago, Cross Road Blues, Hellhound on My Trail, and Love in Vain. Johnson passed away in 1938 under mysterious circumstances at the young age of 27.
