One Mysterious Night, the 1944 Budd Boetticher (billed as "Oscar Boetticher Jr.") Massachusetts detective crime mystery thriller ("What happened to the fabulous diamond 'Blue Star of the Nile'?"; "Boston Blackie solves the blackest crime of his career!"; "Blackie, wipe that smile off your face! You have an appointment with death!") starring Chester Morris ("as 'Boston Blackie'"), Janis Carter, William Wright, Richard Lane, and George E. Stone. Note that this is one of fourteen movies made in the 1940s with Chester Morris playing the fictional character "Boston Blackie", a former crook turned detective (there had been ten silent movies made in the 1920s), all of which were based on short stories by Jack Boyle.

Condition: very good. There are a few faint smudges around the edges and a small diagonal crease in the top right corner. There are two pieces of tape on the back of the borders, but they were not put there for any restoration purpose.
