Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (measures 14" x 22") (Learn More) Dancing Lady, the 1933 Robert Z. Leonard romantic love triangle stage acting dancing musical comedy ("The new sensational musical romance!"; Crawford is an actress in a low class dance show, and she gets arrested, and rich Tone gets her a better job, but Gable, who runs that show, falls for her; Healy is Gable's assistant and Fred Astaire and Nelson Eddy appear as themselves) starring Joan Crawford, Clark Gable, Franchot Tone, May Robson, Winnie Lightner, Fred Astaire (without Ginger Rogers!), Robert Benchley, Ted Healy and his Stooges (Moe Howard, Curly Howard, Larry Fine; his "stooges" would soon form their own act and become immortal as "The Three Stooges"), Sterling Holloway, and Nelson Eddy. Note that this was Fred Astaire's very first movie, which means that Joan Crawford was his first movie dance partner (and it was also the first movie where he wore a top hat and tails!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. the window card had four holes in the top blank area which have had partial restoration; there was a circular tear in the background just below the "D" of "DANCING" and someone put a piece of tape over the back of the card to mend this tear; there were two holes in the center of the right border, and two holes within the image area (one in the blue background above one of the small girls at center and the other in the hair of the second small girl from the left); there are seven holes down the left edge of the poster and one in the center of the bottom of the poster (this last hole has a piece of tape on the back of it); This window card is in better condition than the above makes it sound! The colors are bright and there has basically been no attempt at restoration, except to cover the back of a few of the holes. Hardly any of the holes described above are at all noticeable or distracting and from any distance away the card looks quite nice but if the defects bothered the new owner of the card, surely a restorer could fill the holes in without putting a lot of paint anywhere on the card.
