Appears in Vintage Hollywood Posters 3 CATALOG SOLD OUT The image at right appears in the auction catalog we published as shown above and was sold long ago and we do NOT have it available for purchase. An Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (Learn More) the circa 1930s stock poster ("The screen's daredevil cowboy in a thrilling, breath-taking all talking western") created by Columbia pictures for use by theaters showing their very early 1930s Buck Jones movies. We have seen four different U.S. window cards, all with very different images, and all are from Columbia Pictures, with these taglines: "The Screen's Greatest Outdoor Star!"; "Buck Jones in a Whirlwind, Alll Dialog Western"; "Thrilling, Breath-taking ALL TALKING WESTERN"; "The Screen's Daredevil Cowboy", and also an Argentinean poster with yet another completely different image, and there may well have been other similar posters of other sizes or from other countries. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank area at top or bottom. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they were sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one.
