An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Italian Locandina Movie Poster (measures 13" x 27 1/2" [33 x 70 cm]) (Learn More) Sfida al Diavolo (literally translates to "Challenge To the Devil"; originally titled "Katarsis"; see below), the 1963 Giuseppe Veggezzi Italian fantasy horror thriller (about a group of adventure seeking young men and women who find an old castle that only an old man lives in, but then he turns into the literal Devil and captures them!) starring Christopher Lee, George Ardisson, Bella Cortez, Ulderico Sciarretta, Lilly Parker, Anita Dreyver, Mario Zacarti, Adriana Ambesi, Eva Gioia, Ettore Ribotti, Sergio Gebello, Pasquale Basile, Piero Vida, Sonia, and Alma del Rio. Note that this movie was filmed in 1963 with the title "Katarsis", but the producer died, and it "sat on a shelf" for two years before it was distributed in 1965 as "Sfida al diavolo". So first release movie paper is from 1965, and there is no 1963 movie paper. Also note that it appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Also note that it is difficult to accurately date Italian posters, and some unmarked re-release posters can be extremely difficult to distinguish from first releases, so please bear that in mind before you place a bid. We used our best information to date this poster, but we can't always guarantee that the Italian posters we sell are not from an unmarked re-release, but this will only prove to be true in a very tiny number of cases. Finally, note that this poster has never been folded! Most Italian locandina posters were folded twice horizontally right off of the printing press. It is very difficult to find an unfolded example of most Italian locandina posters, especially from before 1970! Condition: very good to fine.
