'Satin and Silk'"; "The gay life in the city of romance sun in 'Paris Loves Lovers'"; "High jinx and hilarity set to Russky rhythm in 'Hail Bibinski' and more"; "Book of Original Musical Play by George S. Kaufman") starring Fred Astaire, Cyd Charisse, Janis Paige, Peter Lorre, Jules Munshin, George Tobias, and Joseph Buloff. Note that there had been a non-musical version of this story under the title "Ninotchka" in the 1930s with Greta Garbo in the lead role. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Jacques Kapralik Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: poor to fair. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and a few tiny bits of paper loss and creases on parts of some folds. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. After it was backed, it not only acquired a number of tiny areas of surface paper loss scattered in the image, but also a small tear in Astaire's top hat. More significantly, the poster became exposed to moisture, and there is now rippling scattered throughout the linen and the poster itself. Please bear in mind these very major defects before bidding.
