Violence, the 1947 Jack Bernhard journalism amnesia murder kidnapping crime fascism-in-America thriller ("Story and screenplay by Stanley Rubin and Louis Lantz"; there was a fear in America after World War II that fascists were looking to take over the country through secret organizations, and this movie played on that fear, with a group called the United Defenders that posed as a pro-veterans organization, but was really a fascist organization looking to topple democracy, and there are wild subplots involving an undercover investigative female reporter who gets amnesia and becomes one of the leading members of the fascist group, only to regain her memory in the closing reels) starring Michael O'Shea, Nancy Coleman, Sheldon Leonard, Emory Parnell, and Peter Whitney
