An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's Dial M For Murder, the classic 1954 Alfred Hitchcock 3-D (3D; 3-Dimension) romantic love triangle crime murder mystery detective suspense thriller ("...is that you, darling?"; "Written by Frederick Knott who wrote the International Stage Success"; "If a woman answers... hang on for dear life!"; "Is this the man she was waiting for... or the man who was waiting for her?"; "Perfect 3 Dimension in the Hitchcock manner!") starring Ray Milland, Grace Kelly, Robert Cummings (Bob Cummings), John Williams, and Anthony Dawson. Note that, although this movie was filmed in 3-D, none of the original posters mention it at all (there is an explanation in the pressbook that because they know many theaters will not show it in 3-D, "the ads have been designed so that the 3D copy may be eliminated" [and obviously, this is why they did not put 3-D on the posters]). There were some creases and scuffs scattered in the solid colored areas. There were creases, tears, pinholes, and faint stains around the edges of the poster. There was a light "WED THUR" written in the top blank border. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but the restorer did no restoration (likely assuming that the blank borders and top blank area will be matted out when the poster is framed).
