Artist: Richard Amsel Important Added Info: Note that this RE-STRIKE poster has been personally autographed (signed) by John Rhys-Davies! This poster is one of 18 that was consigned to us by Dean Reeves, who is the graphic designer for the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo (and has been since 2009). This is the largest pop culture event in Canada, sometimes attracting over 100,000 attendees. They have had many celebrity guests over the years, and Mr. Reeves met many of them in person and he sometimes asked celebrities to sign a poster for him in person, and he has now consigned 18 posters to us, which we are auctioning in 18 separate auctions. He of course does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are 100% certain the autographs are genuine! Note that this poster is a re-strike from the original printing plates. It was apparently created by Paramount in the early 1990s (many sources say 1989), and was likely sold directly to the general public, and was never used in movie theaters. It is often mistakenly sold as an original release, but it is not. It can be distinguished from the originals by the fact that the different paper stock, the complete lack of NSS/GAU details, and that it measures a slightly smaller 27" x 40 3/4" (instead of 27" x 41"). Also note that they were issued both rolled and folded. It is not a reproduction, but a studio issued re-strike. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: very good.
