An Autographed Art Print (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm]) (Learn More) Will Eisner was a legendary comic book and comic strip artist from the 1940s to the 2000s (his last work was completed shortly before his death). He is best remembered for his Sunday comic book sections of "The Spirit", which he drew from 1940 to 1952. In his early days, he was one of the very first cartoonists to experiment with altering the standard format of comic books and comic strips, including having characters break through the "fourth wall" and literally leave their panels! He pretty much invented the modern day "graphic novel" in 1978 with "A Contract with God". He passed away in 2005 at the age of 87. If you are not familiar with him, you should go to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Will_Eisner and learn all about him!
