Note that director/star Orson Welles was married to Rita Hayworth, and he co-wrote this screenplay as a way for him to star opposite her! Also note that this movie was originally filmed in 1946, but it was not released in the U.S. at that time. It was finally released in France in December 1947, and at that time, U.S. posters were printed with 1947 NSS numbers, but it did not finally open in the U.S. until 1948! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this window card, and the last one was 10 years ago, when it sold for $1,000! Note also that this window card was cut in half (see below), and because it was cut perfectly in half, it can be sent in one of our standard size mailers. If it is purchased by itself (or solely with other posters that can be sent in standard size mailers), it will be sent that way. But if it is purchased with posters that need to be sent in oversized mailers, then we will of course send it that way. Condition: good to very good. The card was cut across the middle, surely with a razor and done very neatly. Someone later taped the two pieces back together with tape from the back and they also put tape on the back of all four borders (all of the tape is now very old). There is a 1" vertical tear in the left of the "L" in "LADY". Other than the above the card is in pretty nice condition (see our image)! Learn More about condition grades
