Date Sold 5/16/2021 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 42 uncut 16 1/2" x 28" postcard sheets from John Ford's Cowboy Kings of Western Fame, the 1973 John Ford & Will Williams illustrated book ("A Commemorative Edition of the Great Director's Final Project"; "Limited Printing of 500 Copies"). The book contains twenty-four 11" x 16" full-color high-quality plates of Williams' artwork, each of a major cowboy star. The plates are contained in a really elaborate slipcase-like folder, with an image of John Ford on the cover. In conjunction with the book release, a set of postcards featuring the same artwork of cowboy stars was also released! IMPORTANT! The lot contains 42 identical uncut sheets of postcards, so we have only pictured the front and back of one, but the winner of this auction receives all 42 sheets!
