A 1983 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Unfolded One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More) The American Success Company (also re-cut and released as "Success" in 1983), the 1979 William Richert getting-rich/getting-even romantic comedy ("A movie dedicated to the fine art of making it."; "A Modern Fairytale"; written by Larry Cohen) starring Jeff Bridges, Bianca Jagger, Ned Beatty, Belinda Bauer, and Steve Keats. Note that Larry Cohen had much success in TV in the 1960s, with many serious shows, including "The Defenders". In the early 1970s, he took a major shift in his writing focus, and he had great success with blaxploitation movies like "Black Caesar" and "Hell Up in Harlem", and then he shifted yet again in the early 1980s, directing and writing the "It's Alive" horror movies! Most movie posters from before 1980 were machine folded immediately after printing. After 1980, it quickly became standard for posters to never be folded, and were shipped to theaters rolled in tubes. But this made it far more likely for posters to pick up minor (or major) defects, and it can be difficult to find an unfolded poster from the 1980s in excellent condition. Condition: very good.
