Sakall NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we were aware of the tagline used in 1941's "Two-Faced Woman" that read "Go Gay with Garbo", but until we saw this poster, which we have never auctioned before, we did not know that it was also used on this 1950 Doris Day movie. Of course, the meaning of that phrase has changed since 1950, and it would not be used on a movie today! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had a partial extra middle horizontal fold, with paper loss at the middle crossfold of the top horizontal fold. It had some paper loss at the other crossfolds and many creases and tiny tears on parts of some folds, with some faint smudges scattered in the white background areas. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. In spite of the above defects, the poster can certainly be displayed and enjoyed, or one could choose to have additional restoration performed. Learn More about condition grades
