An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Belgian Movie Poster (measures 22 1/2" x 29 1/4" [57 x 74 cm]) (Learn More) Swing Time, the 1936 George Stevens romantic love triangle musical dancing comedy ("With six new haunting melodies by Jerome Kern composer of 'Roberta'"; "Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers in the captivating climax of their gay young lives!..."; about a man and woman who are supposed to marry others, but they end up falling in love with each other) starring Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Victor Moore, Helen Broderick, Eric Blore, Betty Furness, Georges Metaxa, and Dennis O'Keefe. Note that this was one of the nine wonderful movies that Astaire and Rogers made between 1933 and 1939 (they made one final movie, "The Barkleys of Broadway", thirteen years later in 1949). Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 22 1/2" x 29 1/4" [57 x 74 cm]. Note that this is a rare "pre-War" Belgian poster. Prior to World War II, Belgian posters were much larger than the ones from after the war, and they are extremely rare (because during WWII, there was a massive paper shortage in Belgium, and they took virtually every poster and map, and printed new posters on the backs of them!). What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was neatly trimmed on all four sides so that a thin white border was left on each side, and this slightly affected the printing in the bottom blank border. It was folded once in each direction with some creases and separation on the folds. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking.
