Ross Lederman romantic jungle adventure thriller ("Story by Edgar Rice Burroughs"; "Screen Play by Robert Lee Johnson and Jay Vann") starring Glenn Morris (in the title role as Tarzan), Eleanor Holm (as Jane), George Barbier, C. Henry Gordon, and Hedda Hopper. Note that this movie (produced by Sol Lesser) was essentially a loose remake of the original Tarzan of the Apes story, with characters changing names and an Arab sheik trying to kidnap the female lead. Glenn Morris was an Olympic decathlon champion and Eleanor Holm was an Olympic swimmer, and their lack of acting experience shows. Some have called this the "worst" of the Tarzan movies, and others find it fairly entertaining! It was Glenn Morris' only appearance as Tarzan. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that in the 1930s, Whitman Publishing had great success with "Big Little Books", and the similar "Better Little Books", which were tiny books that each had an image on one side and text on the other.
