An Original Vintage Linenbacked World War I Poster (measures 28" x 41" [71 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Britishers You're Needed, the 1917 U.S. World War I (WWI) Home Front military recruitment poster ("Come across now") encouraging British expatriates living in the U.S. to travel to England and enlist in the military, and featuring Lloyd Myers artwork of a British soldier reaching across the Atlantic to grasp the hand of a man in a business suit. Note that the term "Britishers" was in common usage in the early 20th century to refer to British expatriates, but it has completely vanished from modern English.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had creases and small tears on parts of the folds, with creases, tears, and small paper loss around the edges. It had faint ink transfer in the bottom right blue background area. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
