An Original Vintage Autographed 7" x 9" [18 x 23 cm] Television Still (Learn More) Redd Foxx was a black African American stand-up comedian, as well as a film and television actor from the 1960s to the 1990s. In the 1950s, he made a series of XXX rated records! Although he appeared in other movies and TV shows, he is best remembered as Fred Sanford from TV's "Sanford and Son". Some of his other movies include: Harlem Nights, Cotton Come to Harlem, and Norman... Is That You? In a twist of irony, his character on "Sanford and Son" often faked a heart attack on the show and stated that one day "The Big One" would come. When he DID have a heart attack in 1991, those around him thought he was just joking, and didn't seek immediate help. He was later rushed to a hospital where he passed away at the age of 68. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Redd Foxx! Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this still is authentic! Also note that this TV still measures 7" x 9" [18 x 23 cm]. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
