An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Herald (measures 5 1/4" x 8 1/2" [13 x 22 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) Sturme der Leidenschaft (released in the U.S. as "Storms of Passion"), the 1932 Robert Siodmak German romantic melodrama starring Emil Jannings, Anna Sten (she was half Russian and half Swedish, and Samuel Goldwyn saw her in a German movie [perhaps this one!], and thought she could become another Garbo or Dietrich, and he signed her to a Hollywood contract, not knowing she could not speak English!; after a year of intensive English studying, Goldwyn cast her as the lead in "Nana", but the movie was not very successful, and Goldwyn made two more movies with her, but then gave up, and she only made a handful more movies), Trude Hesterberg, Franz Nicklisch, and Otto Wernicke NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this movie is extremely rare. We have only previously auctioned a German poster, a German program, and two Swedish posters from this movie, and NO other movie paper of any kind, until we received this U.S. herald! Also note that the "Little Carnegie Playhouse" was a movie theater in New York City that only showed German movies in German for German immigrants. We imagine that the theater did not survive World War II. Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
