6 Hours of Nurburgring (formerly the Nurburgring 1000km) was an annual endurance race for sports cars from 1953 to 1983. The race was organized by the ADAC and held on the Nurburgring in Nurburg, Germany. Since 1984, the 1000 km races were run on the new, much shorter Grand-Prix-Strecke, but there is a 24 Hours Nurburgring race that stayed on the legendary long track.
