An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Detour, the classic 1945 Edgar Ulmer crime film noir ("He went searching for love... but Fate forced a Detour to Revelry... Violence... Mystery!"; perhaps the best low budget film ever, about a man who is down on his luck and hitchhikes a ride, and he is led on a road to disaster, with a particularly unpleasant female companion; if you haven't seen this movie and you like film noir, it is a must!) starring Tom Neal (best remembered as the star of this film), Ann Savage, Claudia Drake, Edmund MacDonald, Tim Ryan, Esther Howard, Roger Clark, and Don Brodie
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that first release movie paper from this classic movie is extremely rare, likely because it did not play in many theaters in 1945. We have only auctioned a total of 6 lobby cards in all our years of auctioning! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good. The poster has semi-circular creases in the top center, in the top of the image background and in the border above it. It also has a few creases in the bottom blank corners. It has a 1/2" tear in the upper left border and a tiny tear near the middle of the left border. It has three tiny dot stains in the top right corner and some other very slight border wear. Other than the above, the card is in pretty nice condition, and it has never had any sort of restoration.
