An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Argentinean Movie Poster (measures approximately 29" x 43") (Learn More) Go, Man, Go!, the 1954 James Wong Howe basketball sports biographical melodrama ("For the thrill sensation of the nation!"; "It scores a new high in world-beating whirlwind excitement!"; "It's all new! It's all-true!"; "For split-second action - for heart-warming romance - for rib-tickling hilarity - Go!"; "More get-up-and-go than you've ever seen on the screen!"; "The All-New, All-True, Never Before Told Story of the Life and Love of the Man Who Brought Them Fame and Fortune!"; about the founder of The Harlem Globetrotters, the famous black African American basketball team that started as a serious professional basketball team, but evolved into a highly successful comedy sports act, whose members included many highly successful NBA players, including Wilt Chamberlain!) starring The Harlem Globetrotters (including Reese 'Goose' Tatum, 'Sweetwater' Clifton, and Marques Haynes playing themselves!), Dane Clark (as Abe Saperstein; billed as "their fighting manager, bringing his slam-bang life and love story to the screen for the first time"; "their loving, slam-bang manager"), Patricia Breslin, Sidney Poitier (in his fourth credited movie role!), Ruby Dee, Slim Gaillard ("Hear Slim Gaillard sing 'Go, Man, Go!'"), and real-life broadcasters Marty Glickman and Bill Stern playing themselves NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good. The poster had minor wear on the foldlines, pinholes in the corners, and some smudges and darkening along some foldlines and in the solid background areas. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. At some point AFTER linenbacking, the top left corner of the poster became water stained (just extending into the circle area). I don't know what a restorer can do with this poster WITHOUT re-backing it (perhaps they can just touch up the stained area at top left). In any event, do not bid on this poster unless you can accept the above defect, or are willing to have further restoration performed on the poster! Learn More about condition grades
