An Original 1979 (from the first release in Japan) Vintage Theatrical Folded Japanese Movie Poster (measures 20" x 29") (Learn More) Ossessione (literally translates to "Obsession"), the classic 1943 Luchino Visconti Italian romantic infidelity crime murder thriller (written by Visconti and others, based on James Cain's classic "The Postman Always Rings Twice", but they did not pay Cain, so he was uncredited, and the film was not released in the U.S. until the 1970s because of this!; the movie follows the source novel closely, with a drifter getting a job at an inn run by an older man and his young beautiful wife, and the woman lures him into an affair and then convinces him to kill her husband) starring Clara Calamai, Massimo Girotti, Juan de Landa, Dhia Cristiani, and Elio Marcuzzo. Note that this movie, Visconti's first, predated the neorealistic classics, "Open City" and "The Bicycle Thief", and was very influential in the Italian cinema that arose during the end of the Italian participation at the end of World War II.
