An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 10 1/2" x 13 3/4" [27 x 35 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Marlene Dietrich was a very popular German actress and singer from the 1920s through the 1950s! She started in German movies in the 1920s, and then got her big break in Josef von Sternberg's "The Blue Angel", which was made in both a German and an English version. That led to a series of wonderful movies with von Sternberg. Some of her other movies include: Destry Rides Again, Shanghai Express, The Scarlet Empress, A Foreign Affair, Morocco (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Blonde Venus, Touch of Evil, Witness for the Prosecution, and Judgment at Nuremberg. She passed away in 1992 at the age of 90. Important Added Info: Note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock and it has an embossed photographer's stamp in the bottom right corner. It has a stamp on the back for famed Paramount photographer Eugene Robert Richee and a snipe describing that she was nominated for the Best Actress Oscar for her performance on Morocco. It says that the balloting will take place at the awards banquet on November 10th which was in 1931 (the movie was made in 1930). Also note that this deluxe still measures 10 1/2" x 13 3/4" [27 x 35 cm], but it has not been trimmed. Condition: very good. There are some faint smudges and scuffs scattered in the still, but they are mostly only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light. Learn More about condition grades
