If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that Italian posters from the first few years after World War II are among the most rare posters there are! Apparently, there were still major paper shortages in Italy, and few posters were printed, and most were recycled. This is an extremely rare first release Italian poster from 1947, which we have only auctioned once before, and now that poster has been reconsigned to us, so it is still the only example of this poster we have ever auctioned! Also note that this Italian one-sheet measures 27 1/4" x 39" [69 x 99 cm]. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had some creases and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds. It had a 7" vertical tear in the top border, running into the dragon's head (but no paper loss). It had a 3" tear in the lower right border that extended solely into the blank border. It had a few pinholes and a small tear in the rest of the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
