Auction History Result #5731 MY SON 2 LCs '25 Alla Nazimova Date Sold 4/8/2003Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 2 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (measure 11" x 14") (Learn More) My Son, the 1925 Edwin Carewe silent romantic love triangle family relationship melodrama (set in a New England fishing village with an almost exclusive Portuguese population, the story concerns a dedicated mother whose son gets involved with a girl she disapproves of, and when he steals a diamond bracelet for his girl, his own mother hits him over the head with a shovel to keep him from escaping, but everything works out in the end) starring Alla Nazimova, Jack Pickford, Hobart Bosworth, Ian Keith, Mary Akin, and Constance Bennett (in an early role as the city girl who lures Jack Pickford from his girlfriend). Note that there apparently were quite a few Portuguese fishermen in New England, as we all know from seeing Spencer Tracy's performance as "Manuel" in "Captains Courageous". Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
