An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) Paradise - Hawaiian Style, the 1966 Michael Moore Hawaii romantic tropical island vacation rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) musical ("His Newest! His Biggest!"; "All Elvis breaks loose in the Swingin Swaying Luau-ing South Seas!"; "Screenplay by Allan Weiss and Anthony Lawrence"; "Story by Allan Weiss") starring Elvis Presley, Suzanna Leigh, James Shigeta, Donna Butterworth, Marianna Hill, and Irene Tsu NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Note that we gave this condition grade to a very few posters that were in pretty good condition prior to linenbacking, but which were not all that well linenbacked, and which could be fairly easily re-backed with only minor additional restoration. The poster had creases along both foldlines and was folded 4" from the bottom of the poster, and there are creases on that fold. There were minor creases and smudges in the blank borders and a Dutch censor stamp in the top right corner in the image background. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the tiny defects, but they are really not at all distracting (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster).
