An Original Undated (probably 1941) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) a stock poster for the 1935 series Broadway Brevities, the Vitaphone musical song-and-dance short subjects ("A Song Girl Review with Broadways Greatest Stars"). Theaters would order this poster and then use it whenever they showed a different entry of the Broadway Brevities short series. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: No condition recorded. This poster was linenbacked, and it had defects which were repaired during the linenbacking process (which we describe below, as well as the quality of the restoration, if I thought there was something about the restoration worth commenting on!). You should also look at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). the poster had small holes at the crossfolds, tiny tears in the vertical foldline, and extra creases and tiny surface paper loss in the top foldline, and extra creases and tiny tears in the bottom foldline; there were some pinholes around the edges of the poster. The poster was pretty much just backed as is, but it was well done. Any talented restorer could easily perform additional restoration to the poster and repair its minor defects without re-backing the poster.
