An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded International One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Candidate, the 1972 Michael Ritchie political politics campaign election melodrama ("Bill McKay has a lot going for him... But nothing compared to what's coming."; "This advertisement has been paid for by Warner Bros. who would love The Candidate to be a winner."; "McKay the better way"; "Written by Jeremy Larner") starring Robert Redford (in the title role), Peter Boyle, Melvyn Douglas ("as John J. McKay"), Karen Carlson, and Morgan Upton NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that all of the posters for the regular American campaign for this movie show an image of Redford with a big bubblegum bubble obscuring his face. Only this international style one-sheet has a different image! Also note that this is an "international" style one-sheet (meaning it was printed in the U.S. for use in non-U.S. countries). Note the lack of a ratings box and NSS information. Condition: good to very good. The poster was folded in half an extra time. There are light diagonal creases down the right border. There are creases along the foldlines and tiny surface paper loss at the top crossfold. There are staple holes in the corners and a stain in the top right corner. There is an odd unevenness to the color in the background surrounding Redford's head and to a lesser extent in other areas of the poster. I don't know if this is a printing defect, or a defect specific to this poster (it is difficult to tell). Learn More about condition grades
